If you are a student there are no fees or charges to join and remain a TM2 member. However, to enrol in the tuition lessons for a subject, the student pays the advertised tuition fee for that subject.

Yes, absolutely! Almost anyone can use TM2 to deliver online classes in any one or more of the hundreds of subjects listed under the nine different categories. If you would like to teach your own (non-TM2 subject) then register with TM2 as a teacher and apply to have your own subject listed. You must be at east 18 years of age, be approved by our team, and agree to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Yes, TM2 was designed with the intention of enabling people from any educational background (academic and non-academic) to establish their own online business without paying large sums of money upfront for an online platform with live lessons, webinars, and live steam to social media, and other important resource requirements. We have done all that for you!

If you are a teacher, find a subject or subjects that you wish to teach, check your qualifications on TM2 Teacher Requirements, then complete and submit the required registration forms on Become a Teacher on TM2. Your approval notification will come through within 24 hours, with a temporary password with links to "How to Use TM2 as a Teacher" and "TM2 Technical Support" (We will even set up your Sales Page and the first two of your online class advertisements for you.)  Then you can log into TM2 and start your teacher portal at any time that suits.

If you are a student, simply click on "Become a Student on TM2" under "Join the TM2 Team" on the Home Page menu, complete the required details and submit your application. You will then receive a confirmation email and a temporary password which you can change when you first log into your account. Here you can provide your profile, upload an avatar or photo, and communicate with your teacher and other students.

Yes, most definitely. You are free to advertise on whichever medium you prefer, including social media. Please keep in mind the locations from where you would like to attract students and advertise accordingly. Also keep in mind time zone differences and the language you would prefer to teach with. Students are also able to access TM2 through the "Student Help Desk" on the Home Page menu to request tutorial assistance. As a registered teacher you will have access to these requests and can respond accordingly should you wish to do so.

Our ZOOM facility is able to cater for up to 300 students in any one lesson. It is up to the teacher to set any limits on class size up to this number. From a practical point of view, we would recommend classes of 30 students or less.

Teachers can set lesson time duration as they wish. Each session lasts (by default) for 1.5 hours, with 65 sessions per month. Most teachers select the 1 hour duration, keeping in mind the concentration span of most students. However, there can be 2 hours sessions, with 25 such sessions sessions in a month, and 10 sessions for up to 4 hours in a month. The lesson times are also adjustable as required, with shorter periods of 15, 30, 45 minutes and 1 hour.

How much you charge your students per hour is completely up to you, but you must be realistic. In setting your fees you should keep in mind, among other factors, the type of subject you are teaching, the ability of students to pay, market competition, and your quality of lesson delivery. Please remember, you should always aim to make your lessons as attractive as possible to potential clients, with very reasonable rates and excellent online presentations.

For example, suggested ballpark figure fees for teaching primary school Science may range from $10 to $15 AUD (Australian dollars) per hour. In high school it could be anywhere from $20 to $50 AUD per hour, depending on year level, complexity of the lesson and your preparation time, and whether you will be teaching a one-off lesson, a series of lessons within a teaching block, or an actual course.  For example, if you think a single one- hour lesson is worth a tuition fee of $20 (AUD), then you may like to advertise your tuition services at for example $50 AUD for three lessons, so the more lessons the cheaper and therefore more appealing to potential students.

University or College level subjects would reasonably have higher tuition fees than high school or primary school subjects.  Again, it would in part depend on the complexity and the detail required in the content of your lesson, as well as other factors mentioned above.

For non-academic subjects, the fee may range from $10 US to $50 US per hour, and for hobbies or interest areas it would possibly be less. Please refer to Clauses  7 and 8 of our Terms and Conditions for other relevant details.

Please remember that the advertised tuition fee is the TOTAL  tuition fee for all lessons and resources within a period of instruction ( clause 2.1.14) or a teaching block (clause 2.1.15). For a single, once only or one-off session (clause 2.1.17) the advertised tuition fee is for that one online class and includes all the resources produced for that class.

Yes, any person or company, once approved by our team, can use their own name or company name on TM2. Payment is made to your PayPal bank account within 24 hours of the completion of your teaching lesson sequence, course or period of instruction. Please provide us with your PayPal email address when you register. This amount will include the 20% commission paid to TM2 on your net tuition fee (clause 2.1.13). Please refer to Clause 8 of our Terms and Conditions for information on payments and commissions.  Clauses 10 and 11 also contain useful information on teacher or student lesson cancellation, re-scheduling and refund policy.

There is a very useful link to World Clock and Time Zones provided for you on this site. You can check your time zone and note the prefix UTC at the start of the time zone. So, for example, the time zone of Sydney Australia is UTC +10. London UK has a time zone of UTC +1. This means that Sydney is 9 hours ahead of London. So, if a teacher in Sydney schedules a lesson start at 5 pm local time, a student in London would need to be ready at 8 am to attend that lesson. Teachers with international students must be aware of time zone differences and schedule their lessons accordingly. Through the link provided, you can also check the actual times at particular locations around the globe using the World Clock.

The subject descriptions for each subject are intended to provide the teacher with some guidelines on what to include in their lessons. The subject description is meant to provide an overview of the possible content within the subject, and is by no means prescriptive, as long as the teacher uses the guidelines as a “fair and reasonable” measure of the topics or content covered in a lesson, series of lessons or course. Teachers who wish to teach outside the subject description for a particular subject must first contact administration for approval. Please refer to clause 2.1.20 of our Terms and Conditions.

We are of the opinion that TM2 is definitely suitable for home- schooling. We base this on the quality of our teaching team, the large numbers of subjects included in the primary and secondary sectors, and the online facilities available for teachers on TM2.

Tuition fees are to be advertised in Australian dollars (AUD), American dollars (USD) or Euros. You can charge whatever you think your services are worth in your own currency, but you will need to convert this amount to AUD, USD or Euro when you advertise your services on TM2. To make the conversion process easier, this link provides live mid-market exchange rates on all global currencies.

Teachers wishing to reschedule or cancel or lesson or lessons should let administration know by completing and submitting the form "Teacher Absence" under "Member Support" on the Home Page menu.

If it's a cancellation, we will then post your cancelled lesson or lesson details on the "Lesson Cancellations" page under the Home Page menu item "Live Classes".

If it's a rescheduling of a lesson or lessons, we will notify students by posting details on the "Rescheduled Lessons" page under the Home Page menu item "Live Classes".

Rescheduling or cancelling lessons may have important consequences regarding a Teachers payment for tuition services. Teachers should also consult clause 10 of our Terms and Conditions for more important details on this topic.

This depends on whether the student gives the teacher prior notice or not and on whether the student has meet the other conditions referred to in clause 11, (especially clause 11.4b) of our Terms and Conditions.
