FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No, the tuition sessions do not have to be consecutive. Use the subject timetable to help you decide the best days and times. You could, for example, pay for 5 tuition classes in a subject, but you could elect to have 3 classes in week 1, another class in week 2 and the final class in week 5.

When you enrol for tuition with ORSOT it is usually in the one subject. That is, you pay for 1,2,3,4 or 5 tuition sessions ( each 1 hour) in a particular subject. However, if you wish to have, say, 5 tuition sessions in two or more  subjects, you simply pay for each subject as required. You could pay for (example) 2 tuition sessions in one subject, and 3 in the other. Or for any number of tutorials ( up to 5) in any subject or subjects at any one time, simply go to that subject or subjects, select up to 5 tutorial sessions and pay the required fee.

This depends on whether the student gives their tutor prior notice or not,  and on whether the student has meet the other conditions referred to in clause 11, (especially clause 11.4b) of our Terms and Conditions.

"scheduled as per student registration timetable" means that the money paid in on enrolment will be held in trust until each tutorial session is completed as you would have indicated on the student registration form, which confirms the subject,, the week, day and time of each class you selected. The money is  released from the trust account once the tuition lesson has been completed. So for example, if you paid $90 for 3 tutorial lessons  (say for Math 7-8)  and you scheduled a lesson for Wednesday in week 1, another on Tuesday week 3, and then for a final lesson on Friday week 7, a payment would be deducted (ie $30) from your initial payment on enrolment ( ie $90) after each lesson was completed on each of those three dates.

The programming in different schools may vary considerably, and so it is possible that the ORSO topics do not necessarily match what is taught in particular year levels at some schools. To answer your question though, your son is more than welcome to enrol in a tuition class outside his normal year level.
